Wow na Wow sa Bahura!!! May2007

Maayong Tubig, Dauin Municipality, Negros Oriental

I was awed with the sight and took picture immediately
First, the reason why my friends visited me here in Negros was the fact that we actually enrolled to a free review class in Silliman. (Talking back again about the infamous retake during our time for the boards) We took the advantage of actually exploring the sights in Dauin coastline. Like the usual thing we do, we first googled the place to see its amenities and compared it with the rest of the nearby resorts and so we chose this resort. ( I believe that Dauin has a lot to offer in terms of beaches and resort, Imagine 4 resorts are just aligned to each other). Then we did visit the resort that afternoon for an ocular survey and finally decided to spent the last day in Negros here.
I love the scenery
Bahura Resort and Spa is just near the highway along Maayong Tubig, approximately about 18-20 km from downtown Dumaguete City. There are a lot of ways in getting there, the cheapest way is to ride a puj near the public market in Dumaguete route to Zamboanguita.
love the scenery
The resort is a 5 hectare beach side coconut plantation with lots of amenities and activities to do. On the middle of the resort is the infinity pool that is considered the biggest and the cleanest facing the Cebu Island. I really love how the trees conform with the view of the pool that is accentuated by the water splash.
way took this picture
now thats the salbabida im talking about
4 feet part of pool
This infinity pool has several depths. There are parts for toddlers, its like 2-3 feet somewhere on the left side of the 2nd pool, the one with the tree on it. ( I love taking picture on this part). There are parts for children like on the 1st pool left side about 3-5 feet, for adults about 13 feet pool ( adults who are swimmer only). The 13feet pool is where they usually had the practice for the scuba diving before doing it on the real sea. Though I am not that expert swimmer but I can float though, (LOL) I took the courage to swim in that part of the pool. (Thanks to the salbabida, LOL).
way is too scared to dip in with us on the 13 ft pool
By the way, the entrance fee is Php500. ( I dont know if the rate is still the same this day) But it was all worth it, because it is consumable. Meaning you can order at their restaurant at the same amount of the entrance. They also have a decent dresser located on the basement, below their restaurant.
on their restaurant
Food review. The food served was very very good. I love their presentation and it was served hot. I mentioned this to my Tita Bregette and she knew the chef.

the private villas of the resort
The resort not just provide that spectacular infinity pool but as well a nice beach. But compared to the beach near our residence in Dauin, this beach is rocky and it was low tide then, not very good for a dip.

Bye Bahura!!! See you Next Time!!! Hasta La Vista!!!

Shaky Shaky!!! Shakeys!!!

Place: Shakey's Restaurant, Dumaguete City
When: May 2007 and July 2008.

Shakey's Dumaguete Branch
Shakey's Dumaguete was new then , when we visited this restaurant last May 2007. It was when my Lhao-uy Friends (Way, Jaiton and Madewin) came in the city for our free review in Silliman during the infamous nursing board retake. We were very clueless that time as to the location of the said restaurant since I was still on the verge of getting to know my folk's city (though I've been in and out of this city since my childhood). The only thing that we knew was the street address somewhere in Rizal Boulevard from a certain flyer distributed in Lee Plaza. Good thing, manong pedicab driver gave us a safe correct ride. It was just right next to the Bethel Guest House fronting the famous boulevard.

At that time, we were very impressed with the service given. The food servers were well kept and tidy and were very accommodating. I  was a bit happy and feel a bit a sense of pride since these remarks were made by my friends (in their first time in the city) To quote, "Dumageutenos are very friendly, accomodating, trustworthy and helpful." Indeed this is the reason why it was tagged as the "City of Gentle People."

We were not only impressed by the service crew but as well, I love the ambiance inside the restaurant. It was cool and cozy. The comfort rooms were clean and dry. You can either have your seat inside or outside the resto with the scenic view of the boulevard.

The second try for this restaurant was during my Lola and Uncle Sancho's first visit in the Philippines. I had the same remarks that my friends made before for this second visit. The interior changed a bit but the service still is best. What makes it memorable was the fact that this restaurant turned out to be the dance floor. Tables and chairs were pushed to the side and the customers were all freaking dancing. The reason why the crowd grew this wild was the musics being played by the music band that night that put us onto our dancing shoes.

Pizza, pizza, pizza
Food wise. SUPERB!!!!
Something to try when in Dumaguete City! Highly Recommended.

Thumbs Up! Till next tripping................

Dauin Whereabouts Summer 2007

hello people, i am currently staying in district 2, municipality of dauin, a famous municipality in negros oriental of it’s nice beaches, nice people. during these times, i have an opportunity to rome around the whole municipality of dauin from farflung areas of panugtuban to the local version of this town’s little baguio, barangay magsaysay, from the most populated barangay, Maayong tubig to the less people, barangay boloc boloc, and i love it। i got to meet different people from all walks of life with different personalities and culture. i’ve got to see different styles of houses and experienced a free foundation cover on my face, hehehe. we are using a huge carrying track where 30, at most, can be accomodated. we where like cattles in a huge ferry boat or a huge loader track ready to be delivered in places where the driver will bring us. you know why i got to experience these things? its because my relatives from this little famous town are huge supporters of the political family of araula and i’ve got to accompany my little, cute niece because she also participates in the rally as an entertainer. i will really cherish these moments, wherever life will bring me.

its been so amazing, i have been staying here for almost a month now, and i do not yet want to go to my hometown। there is so many things to do here, so many places to visit, so many people to know, culture to unveil and emotions to experience. and i love it, i do not want to end it. recently, my friends just arrive and we had our invasion over the dumaguete city. we started invading the famous bellfry church, its national park, and the biggest mall in the city. after which, we satisfied our aching stomach by indulging ourselves to a party size pizza pan in shakeys and a bottomless drink. after that, we set our foot to the famous landscape in the city, which is there rizal boulevard. the place was so clean, has a nice facade of the cebu and siquijor shores and countless foreigners roaming around the city. we were so stunned with the amazing feeling being in this place. then we feel, that our feet could no longer bring us to where we want it. we went home. upon arriveng, we feel the intense desire to swim over their beautiful beach. we had fun swimming over the cleanest beach in the country and had an opportunity to ride a small boat locally known as bangka and had an amazing view with the life down under the water. we were so amazed with the spectacular view. that was our first time ever in our life to watch nice live corals and sea creatures.

hey ya, im currently here in dumaguete city, the hometown of both of my parents. i did not imagine nor even came accross in my mind that i will be staying here for work while i’m preparing myself for abroad. but i believe that, that is my destiny and of course, for my own good so as to know how to be independent and cross the bounderies of my comfort zone. i believe that by staying here i will be able to acknowledge how life of an adult works, but this is not absolute independence, coz i’ll still be staying with my aunts here but probably partial independence, just a beginning of a new life. i hope that i will be able to withstand the pressures of life here. god’s will, i am not only doing this for myself and for my love one’s too. but for now, i will still go back to my hometown, zamboanga city, to take the board exam again, i hope and pray, that i will pass again the exam. and if i pass, i will be returning here for work, again, god’s will that i will be accepted to where i will work as a regular staff, so as not to be financially dependent with my family, even with that aspect. and fortunately, in the future, i will take the exams for nurses for abroad. i will receive the review materials of my uncle who is currently in florida, and he told me that most of the exam questions or shall i say, that 75% of the nclex questions are taken from that cd. well that gives me confidence but nonetheless, i will be seeking your help. please help me pray to god and all the saints, for guidance, power and strength, i am not only doing this for myself, to fulfill my own ambitions and goals in life, but as well with my family’s and relatives’ ambitions,
